This is another race image from Fishing Bay Yacht Club. I wanted to paint this image, though for the first time I did not take the photograph. I am in blue crewing on Afterthought . My first and time as a pit person. It was quite a weekend for me. I was not sure I was up for the task. It turned out to be a lot of fun.

It was entered at Rappahannock Art League Art Center in their January: “You Be the Judge” show and took first place. It also sold before the opening night. It was a good start of the new year.

Many mornings during crabbing season on the Piankatank River the crabbers come to pull their pots soon after sunrise. This piece was entered in the Rappahannock Art Center Art League Waterman show and received a third place award.

The Annapolis Fall Boat Show is full of sailors, many that come by boat each year. They park their tenders at the City Dock while attending the show.

My husband and I sailed for ten months in the Oyster World Rally in 2018 as unpaid crew. In Indonesia we sailed west for weeks until this day in Were Bay when we finally saw boys sailing in their homemade sail on their dugout canoes.
